L’Adventure Movie Awards nasce dal desiderio di Adventure Outdoor Fest, il più importante evento italiano dedicato all’avventura e agli sport in natura, di condividere con un pubblico più ampio gli emozionanti video del concorso cinematografico internazionale, nato a San Candido Innichen (Bz).
Emozioni, adrenalina, passione e avventure accompagneranno gli spettatori alla scoperta degli 8 documentari più belli dell’edizione 2016 del festival. Per l’occasione verrà allestita, nel foyer del teatro una mostra fotografica di Alessio Romeo, fotografo membro de La Venta Exploring Team, mentre a introdurre i cortometraggi sarà lo slackliner e regista Alessandro D’Emilia con la proiezione del suo film “Line Revolution”.
L’appuntamento sarà preceduto da un aperitivo con degustazione di prodotti tipici delle Dolomiti, presso il Bar di Ditta Artigianale all’interno del Cinema La Compagnia.

Un film che racconta l’Highline meeting di Monte Piana del 2015. Il meeting, nato nel 2012 dall’amicizia fra gli highliners Alessandro D’Emilia e Armin Holzer con la volontà di condividere con altri la bellezza degli orizzonti offerta da Monte Piana e dalle dolomiti, è stato un momento di incontro fra professionisti e appassionati di highline e un momento per provare nuove linee. “Una performance in onore del luogo e dedicata alla vita”.
A film on the 2015 Highline Meeting Monte Piana. The meeting was created in 2012 by two highliners and friends: ALESSANDRO D’EMILIA, and ARMIN HOLZER, from their desire to share the spectacular scenary of Monte Piana (Misurina) in the Dolomites. Aspiration of the Pamirs – Directed by Brian Mathe, Morgan Monchaud and Siphay Vera (8’16”)
Aspiration of the Pamirs è un viaggio in bici, un’avventura di oltre 3000 km nel Pamir, in Asia Centrale, per dimostrare il valore di un’idea di un giovane progettista francese che ha realizzato una bici in bamboo e resina. E’ straordinario vedere come sia possibile, combinando l’uso di materiali apparentemente poveri con l’applicazione delle piu avanzate tecnologie, ottenere un ottimo prodotto, esempio di uno sviluppo piu sostenibile.
Through an audacious 3,000 km adventure in the Pamir mountains, Morgan Monchaud, Siphay Vera and Brian Mathe want to show the viability an ambitious bike concept designed by young French men, made out of bamboo stems and flax fiber. They demonstrate that craftsmanship know-how can be combined with advanced technical skills to produce great performance products.

Two men – a quadriplegic and a paralympian, undauntingly chose to take on a 35 kilometer trek over four mountain passes on the Tibetan plateau. The high altitude, rocky terrain pushes each of them to their physical and emotional extremes in their attempt to overcome their adversities.

Degrees North mixes hair-raising action footage of leading freeriders with a story of adventure and discovery in remote northern territories of Svalbard and Alaska. World-renowned freeriders Xavier De Le Rue, Samuel Anthamatten and Ralph Backstrom progress the sport of freeriding through the use new technology to scope remote areas in order to show ski and snowboard action in a way never seen before.
